I love to worship The Lord.
I love to be at church as our amazing worship team begins lifting their voices in praise. It is filled with such an energy. It is warm and calming. It is filled with emotion. The deep power behind the praise brings tears to my eyes some days…more often than not, as I feel that in a room filled with people who are in love with God, I am still here alone with Him in His glory. I am made whole with Him. I am so overwhelmed with the joy of His goodness and thankful for His grace in those moments, that the tears just stream from my eyes.
Have you ever felt it? The Spirit of the Lord that just seems to fill the room as everyone pours out their hearts in song to Jesus. The congregation, one by one, raises their hands up as the love surrounds each soul. Doesn’t it just give you a strength you never knew you wanted or needed? It is incredible how that works. We are covered in the love of God. We must be glowing in the spirit! What a gift to give our King!
God loves to hear us worship Him.
We are in His presence when we worship and praise! Satan hates that. It is like a battle cry that he knows he cant beat. Now the enemy is engaged in a war with us. He does not want us to be with God. True spiritual warfare has begun. Satan will try to attack with darkness every chance he has. Yet, every time we are in the mind set of searching for God’s heart, When we worship and pray, we are filled with light, His light. It shines through everything! It sticks too! With God there is always a brightness to protect His believers in the spiritual aspects. Everything else is temporary. Following the light makes us a formidable target for the enemy’s evil schemes.
We are the militant church, us right now, the believers here on earth, we are the Christian soldiers. We are waging the good fight with our worship. When we praise and give God the glory, we are strengthening our armor of God! Amazing right? The Lord has told us so. It says in Ephesians 6:10-20
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
When we pray and worship it is eternal! It builds up our shields and armor! Our weapons are not carnal! No weapon created by man will every be able to break the bond that our God has with us! Our worship makes us stronger! The war between spiritual light and darkness is not of human powers. Our path for victory is to desire for God to be part of us and to give all glory to Him! For it says in the KJV 2 Corinthians 10:14 “The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.”
So WORSHIP my brothers and sisters in Christ! Praise His name at all times!! Keep the light of the Savior burning bright in your living being! May He shine brightly through you into others lives so that He may be known, loved and cherished by all! May your armor be bright and strong in this spiritual war for your soul! May every breath you breathe be filled with pure devotion for YWHW, the Lord Almighty!!
That is true worship and praise for a believer to the Everlasting King of all!
1 Timothy 1:18 NIV Timothy, my son, I am giving you this command in keeping with the prophecies once made about you, so that by recalling them you may fight the battle well,
May our lives be lived out here on earth end like Timothy’s. When it is our time to enter the church triumphant, those who have gone on before us, like Timothy, worship Him in heaven for all eternity! How incredibly fabulous!! He is always to be worshiped! He is always to be praised!! I can not wait!! Lord Jesus, may our hearts be professing this truth when our day is at hand:
2 Timothy 4:6 KJV
6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.
7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
Keep your shield of faith strong and your sword of the Word sharp my friend. Know the Bible. Study the Word daily. Praise Him in all you do. Worship, rest and may your light be His.
